Carolina Slaw

Ingredients

  • Cabbage - 1/2 head, thinly sliced
  • Carrot - 1 cup, grated
  • Apple cider vinegar - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 1/4 cup
  • Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup
  • Dijon mustard - 2 TBSPs
  • Ground mustard seed - 2 tsps
  • Celery seeds - 1 tsps
  • Kosher salt - 1 tsps
  • Pepper - 1/2 tsps

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced cabbage and grated carrot in a large bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, sugar, vegetable oil, dijon mustard, ground mustard, celery seeds, kosher salt, and pepper until the sugar is dissolved
  3. Bring the saucepan mixture to a boil over medium-high heat
  4. Pour the hot dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to coat
