Jasmine Rice

Ingredients

  • Jasmine rice - 1 cup
  • Water - 1.5 cups

Instructions

  1. Optional: Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In an uncovered pot, combine the rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Once boiling, cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid (no hole), move to a small burner and turn the heat to the lowest setting.
  4. Cook for 20 minutes. Don’t lift the lid!
  5. Turn off the heat and let the rice sit, covered, for 10 minutes.
  6. Fluff the rice.
